I think my point is being missed. If I have one ! My point is that hype goes a long way towards what will be collectable in the future. And that most KOF frames do not have what Masi had as far as being the rumored supplier of certain racer's frames.
If you were to make that parallel now then maybe a Lightspeed will be what someone lusts for 30 years from now? And, the auctions I have seen it seems that Paramount (Riv) seem, to command a heck of alot more $$$ than say Hurlow (KOF).
It is an interesting exercise but what is collectable now vs what is collectable in the future will probably be very different. And bikes which are not on most peoples radar (Most Americans think bikes are toys like my nephews scooter), it will either be the Kool-Aid drinking wish I had one crowd who will want a Rivendell, or the antique road show arts-fartsy crowd that will see a Columbine and collect it because it is a work of art.
And I doubt they will call them KOF frames 30 years from now when they are riding their hover bikes! Brian, can you make me a new Randon hover bike for 15K ???

> But will Rivendell ever command the same kind of price as Baylis or Sachs or Gordon? Highly unlikely.
