Mick; Speaking of Russ forks, I just acquired a 1934/35 Hetchins which seems to have a Russ fork. We were initially confused by it, as all early Hetchins known to date, whether they be surviving, from pictures in catalogues or other publications from about 1935 to slightly later all have forks with a much more rounded rake compared to the Russ. The rake of the Russ is much less than the typical rake of all other Hetchins known from that era, but it certainly wasn't straight or comparable to a hockey stick. I'd like to see the article your looking at.
