"A young student from Bulgaria, Georg Tscherdaklieff, age 24, is
currently on his way to achieving an exploit worthy of any professional
cyclist. Starting on the first day of February, in Prague, he plans to
complete a lap of Europe, riding 200 kms per day. His itinerary
includes: Prague, Berlin, Stuttgart, Strasbourg, Nancy, Paris, Bordeaux,
Lisbon, Gibraltar, Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Naples, Venice, Szedeldin,
Budapest, and Sofia. During his journey through Paris, he was invited
to help start the riders at the Paris 6-Day. While there he spoke of
how he suffered in the horribly cold weather in Berlin, with temps as
low as -25C (-13F). Tscherdaklieff expects to reach the capital of
Bulgaria (Sofia) before the end of May, completing a journey of
18,000kms (10,980 miles) in about 100 days."
