Ah, Chuck, you may have broken fecund critical earth regarding old Hank-Bob "Call Me Marcel" Duchamp. It allows total rethinking of the grand entrapper. Perhaps, just perhaps, the nude was descending the stair to true her wheel, the bride's bachelors were wheelmen, the fountain was his W.C. during Duchamp's extended obsessive-compulsive bouts of wheel truing, abandonment of art for chess was all a ruse to cover up his monk-like devotion to wheel truing, and, in fact, secret function is embedded in every readymade. Voila! Would that the bike fork were a contribution from his chess-obsessed friend Rene Herse and that they rode a side-by-side tandem through the streets of Paris with a board between them (held, of course, by a very cool Herse bike rack adapted for just this function), two great mad men locked perpetually in a mobile end game. :-)
