Hello to Jan and all - I'm thankful to all interested parties that we've gotten this far. Something is better than nothing, and at least this will keep the data alive! Kudos! Jan - I'll contact you in the near future off list. As I mentioned before, I'm a relative newbie and haven't actually seen your publication of the VBQ. Would have purchased a couple of books and issues at NAHBS, but sold out by the time I left the seminar and got back to Peter's booth. On the other hand - I will still continue to beat the digital drum... With codecs for image compression available - I'd have to believe that an issue could be rendered far smaller than a single CD with the proper authoring. There are trade offs to be made in what may be "print" suitable images and "computer" suitable image. Many times a computer image can be nearly as nice as a print image at a fraction of the file size, and certainly better than a 2nd gen photocopy. Native PhotoShop images (PSD's and/or EPS, etc.) can balloon to huge files when compared to a loss less compression PNG or a high res JPG. In a worst case scenario that it wasn't possible on a single CD...an entire year or two could be archived on a single DVD with ease, and that seems more the computer drive standard than straight CD drive at the time. Jan - Please contact me off list in a week or 2 after I have had a chance to look into the "print on demand" publisher. It may do us all a world of good, and relieve a "publishing " burden on you.. I thank youse all for my time on the soap box -

P.S. Does it show too much that I used to work in a library and am an anal retentive nut when it comes to printed matter???
