Wow! Look at those forks! Almost straight as an arrow! Barely rested on a rake bender!

Also, interestingly, this frame also uses a Japanese frame making component..The BB shell in this case. Believe it or not, that is the same forged shell that I used here:

Cool,

So now I gots a very different frame to what I thought I had. I'll be canning the auction and this japanese lugged, english tubed, italian tips and ends track frameset which was possibly made by an Aussie is gonna get ridden and used by me. I don't know just what it is and I guess I never will ... but now I like it even more, especially as it's history or origin is now clouded !!!!!!!!

Now I need some tips: Im gonna strip the paint (which is partly why I was selling it - too new, too thick, too red) and then I want to reset and reprofile the rear ends. They just stick out wrong for my liking. Any perils to avoid? ... Im kinda handy with a torch and can braze bit. Then, i would like to chrome it ... all of it ... or at least nickel plate. yes flush properly ... what other instructions for my plater?

Thanks Dale, Thanks Richie !!!!!!

Also, Im very close to being outbid on a local frame that a seller isn't offering to ship overseas. I won't be going for it now that Im keeping the above mongrel frameset but it is made by Jim Bundy who is a friend of mine and solid gentleman as well as a builder of many a fine bike. He's now retired and i'd just like to get my hands on this frameset and check it out with him. To do so I would offer any listmember my service to drive 3 hours south of me to pick it up on their behalf. You pay for the frame purchase, cost of shipping it (about $85aud and takes about 1 week) and my gas cost. Im a pro packer of bike frames. It looks like a good frame and if it's anything like Jim's other bikes it's worth every penny, a beautiful bike to ride and both honestly and thoughtfully made. Jim's a man of great integrity and so are his bikes. I may even be able to get a snap of the builder and the frame too. http://ebay.com/<blah>

btw - the above offer only stands for you active listmembers, if some of you lurker cats from Sierra Leone who want to pay me in yak milk in exchange for helping you deposit 6.5 million malaysian ringets to a belgian diamond dealer ... you get the picture.

anyways, I'm gonna keep the red bike frame, thanks guys for being patient with me.

ciao,

Ben Kamenjas Sydney, Oz
