Duncan, Use Dawn dish washing liquid. It does a great job on grease. Be gentile. When on the road (at a hotel) shampoo works incredibly well; even on greasy hands.

Thanks to Bob Freeman, I am now the proud owner of an orange and black Jack Taylor merino wool jersey (brand new!).

Today I wore it for the first time while riding my 1974 (candy orange) Tour of Britain.

Problem is, right before the ride, I dropped the jersey on the chain! Horrors! Black grease on my new, orange, wool jersey!

So help, please: how should I go about cleaning it?
