Well others, on and off list have related that only some Brooks saddles are dated. Experience seems to vary from 50% to as low as 5% being stamped with a date. Don't think I've ever found one, but I don't look consistently. I note the date stamping seems much shallower than the "Made in England", so maybe it can wear down more easily and be harder to notice.

The only thing that confuses me is the Swift that I have (purchased slightly used). The code indicates "8M9". Did Brooks make titanium railed Swifts in '89?? (sorry for being OT-ish. e-mail me offlist if you know the answer...)
