A few members were asking if I was OK seeing as I've been quiet these last few weeks. My wife had a lot going lining up contractors for a final spring-summer push to finish our house remodel. Also Mary's 96 year old mother needed some attention, tax time is imminent, and just as I was starting my spring training and comeback with some cross training, I stepped into a soft spot on one of the running trails while jogging with my wife and broke a bone in my left foot. Soft cast, boot and crutches for about 6 weeks. As good bike riders you all know how dependent we are on our feet, especially with fixed gear training. So, it's very hard to type with a broken foot. Besides, the subjects on the CR were well covered by the august membership and didn't need to use band width. The Tinkertoy, Lincoln Log, Erector Sets on wheels exhibit this last weekend seemed to have been a blast of a success. Love the pics. Wish I could have been there to kick a few tires. On past subjects: I agree with Charles. "E" scammers suck. Paramounts were pretty good. IMHO they didn't get exported because of production limitations, and they sold all they could make here. As good or better than many european counterparts. I prefer rim cement instead of tape. The Amgen Tour of California was outstanding! Ted Ernst Palos Verdes Estates, CA
