And when they finally get worn, Phil will replace bearings or otherwise overhaul at a very reasonable price. I've also exchanged Phil BBs for those with different axles and got a very resoanable deal, and fast friendly service. I hope these guys never change.

Thanks Jamie for that insider info about Phil & Co. I will redouble my efforts to support them through CDO.

Also, in my studying & scrutinizing all the various photos of the frames & bikes, I saw a glimpse of a silver J. Swan bike! Very nice! Wish we had bigger/more full coverage pics!

I don't know if people have been talking about this but Phil Wood & Co. did the frame building community a huge favor during the show. The convention center is not willing to accept shipments from exhibitors. Normally the decorator, who is a concessionaire at the facility will accept your shipment and hold it for you for a fee. After the show they will see to it that your freight gets back on the appropriate truck... For a fee.

Phil Wood & Co is located just a few miles from the convention center in San Jose; so they volunteered to accept shipments from frame builders all over the country. They schlepped all those boxes over the the show and saw to it that every one was in the hands of the builder. When the show was over they schlepped them all back to their shop and got them shipped out on Monday morning. They did all this work for zero compensation.

Participating in a show like NAHBS is a significant expense for us small fry. Phil & Co took some of the sting out of it. They are good guys and I hope that you all buy their products.
