The show was great. I hope Don does it again, and keeps it in San Jose. The venue was clean, simple an spacious (it's also a 25-minute drive from my house). The second best part was seeing the amazing craftwork represented there. First, of course, was meeting the fabulous people behind the bikes.
Sadly, some well-regarded KOFs were not there in the flesh. I thought it might be interesting to acknowledge some of them in this forum while the KOF coals still burn in the afterglow of the show (I know.... I flunked creative writing).
Here's one from my modest collection. Ed Litton needs no introduction to most in this group, but Google him if you haven't heard the name. Ed was actually represented at the show, but quietly, in the form of at least one fine paint job. Here's a frame he made in the mid-'90s, just built up with some almost-in-the-timeline parts. The frame was raced hard by an up-and-coming young man, who sold it to me to help finance a spring in Belgium. By "raced hard" I mean to say that the top tube has been replaced once and the down tube twice (always by Ed). In February Ed checked the alignment for me and re-sprayed it a deep metallic green.

The weather's been to crappy lately to take it out for a long ride, but around the block it's a winner.
Anyone else have MIA KOFs to acknowledge?
