I love the trike talk. I think I'm the only person to bring one (actually 2) to the Cirque.
Steve Maasland comments are right on.
I especially like the city riding where I roll up to a light, relax look around, both feet in the pedals - it's almost like you are hanging in the air, suspended above the road instead of sitting on something.
They aren't for everyone & it takes a few miles to get confortable & like Hilary told me - when you do start to feel comfortable be extra careful, that's when you can really get in trouble.
On my first club ride on my 50's unknown maker racing trike w/ Higgins differential rear end, everything was great until a few miles from the end. I needed to make a left turn, the road's camber increased, there were potholes, a car was closely following me. Fortunately when the trike & I shot off to the right & did a header in to the ditch (feet still in the clips) the dirt was very soft.
Trikes - they are great fun.
