Subject: [CR]trikes & balance

There was a time when I rode in Washington Park, Denver every evening. Sometimes I would use the trike for my training rides. Those of you who have ridden at Wash Park knows that some of the curves are such that you get to lean your bike very nicely as you go around. When I rode the trike I didn't slow down a bit for those curves; just let the tire rub on the seat of my pants so to speak. If some kid in a car teased me for being unable to ride on two wheels, I simply tipped her up on two wheels and continued to ride. That always turned the snigger into a gape. I have also ridden home on two wheels when the right rear went flat and I didn't want to change the tire just then.
