Subject: [CR]WTF / WTB Zefal frame pump parts

Does anyone out there have one (...or more) new (...although at this point I would certainly consider a good used piece or two) 19 mm piston washer(s) appropriate for internal use within a Zefal Competition style frame pump that they would be willing to part with (...we're talking about the older straight taper aluminum barrel version of the venerable Zefal, which was originally offered in an oh so very French tri-color scheme and later in solid colors, and NOT the later HP or HPX editions that have a "stepped" barrel and use a much more common and easy to find 18 mm piston washer)? I find myself in possession of no less than five NOS versions of the early tri-color Competition pump where each has had its respective piston washer removed (?!?!?) rendering them nice to look at as decorative eye-candy, but entirely non-functional.

Of course, if someone has any suggestions with respect to an alternative replacement part that might be used instead, I would be most interested in hearing their creative thoughts. For example, does anyone know whether Silca offered a frame or floor pump using a 19mm leather piston washer or perhaps even a slightly larger 20 or 21 mm version that can be trimmed to size and adapted for use? I have also noted a distinct similarity between the Zefal pump piston washer and those seals used in various Girling and Lockheed rear wheel cylinders common to British sports cars from the 1950's through 1970's although I have not sat down and played "mix-and-match" with my automotive spare parts inventory as I suspect that the majority of these that I have on hand will prove to be too large. Does anyone else have any random thoughts, considered suggestions, or wild speculation that might prove useful? Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks in advance,
