Singer seatposts vary quite a bit in diameter - it all depends on the frame and also if there is an internal sleeve in the seatube.

I think that Kalloy straight posts are probably a good start to building one - I actually have a few that need rebuilding that I'll be working on soon. Does anyone know if the Kalloy straight posts are available anywhere?
