Thanks.. Rich. Lovely machine. I want one! Looks like PX-10 frame angles (72 parallel perhaps) and I like white racing bikes. But wait... t hat high res. catalogue pix shows two odd things: the top of the backstays are striped with what looks like the Raleigh racing colours (black, yellow and
red) and take a look at the gear levers which appear to be mounted in some
black plastic base. Very odd, almost like Simplex levers. Also odd is finding (or not as the case has it) the mate to the American market '69 Raleigh Pro in the UK market Carlton one from the same year. The Carlton
Pro has 3/4 chromed rear triangle and forks and fastback rear stays. So what the inspiration for the '69 was remains a mystery to me. By the way , I've seen a pix of the 1972 Raleigh Team bikes just after TI Raleigh took over the Carlton Team and yep... they were painted white with the te am colours like the '69.
