Almost complete in cleaning-up this World Voyager, I turned to its neglected, though perhaps salvagable, Brooks Pro saddle. Its main fault was a turned-up side. I proceeded to thoroughly wash with soap and water then wrap tightly with sisal twine. Let air-dry for 5 days at room temperature then unwrap. The now "in-shape" saddle was then lightly oiled and re-wrapped until ready for attachment. I know its not recommended to wet leather saddles but I've been successful at curing curling sides by this method before and I prefer this method to punching holes and tying.
