I like it, can't afford it, but I like it -- Rene's 50s Peugeot racer that is for sale. Maybe someone else will like it enough and afford it. The only Peugeot I've owned was a '78 504 diesel wagon, one of if not my very favorite owned bike, dog, camping and bike haulers. I miss that car, but after +250,000 miles the fuel system got to be a pain (the rest of "Le Tank" was a strong and unscathed as new. But, the link,

Worth tapping the link just for the wonderfully fine photography alone: puts the French componentry in its proper perspective. (Owners of Peugeots and other French cars know about components and such peculiar perspectives).

While poking around, I found Peugeot's museum website that briefly mentions and illustrates its bicycle-building history, circa 1889, which included its introduction to the world of the first bicycle with differently-sized wheels, "Le Grand Bi." To witness,

Apparently, they made primal and significant contributions to the original development of the coffee grinder, or in our home the 'crank crank' back in the 18th Century.

BUT, what puts it all together and compels me to visit the bicycle and car (and everything else) Museum in French reality is the insanely cool Vistite Guidee, the interactive 360 flash player that lets you drive around the museum discovering the displays through the car windshield, zooming in and printing, etc. Then, the thing that compels me to go is a 1947/49 Peugeot 202 Woody = Best Prospective French Bike Hauler .
