i have a 69 raleigh grand prix that has a tubular wheelset from 1970
normandy hubs mavic rims atom qr .someone is interested in the bike but he wants
clincher rims.i have a spare wheelset but the axle is too big for front drop out
as well as just a touch wide forks will spread though.. i noticed the axle on
the tubular front has a flat that is the only place it will slip into
dropout.i didn't know there were different size axles (or dropouts}are there?.i
didnt try the rear clincher but it has a six spd freewheel wereas the tubular
rear is a 5spd.are there different length axle and nut combinations to adjust
for rear spacing or even front fork spacing?thanks kevin ruberg howell n.j.
