The seller, mike, turned down $350 for this frame. The original fothergill head tube transfer on this bike can be seen at : http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/frameteam2003/album?.dir=311a&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos Mike was nice enough to send me these photos so I can have them reproduced and a tracing for the sizeing and sold me a set of re-pop down tube scrip name transfers. The frame should have the same transfer on the seat tube, and Mike has one un-used original that is to go on a friend of his bike.So maybe by this summer I'll have most of the puzzle to start my Fothergill restoration(the other photos are of mine) sam lingo, pleasanton tx

There's a pretty looking 62cm Fothergill on ebay out of the UK right now that ends tomorrow and hasn't made reserve at 25 pounds. Vintage 1958, Nervex lugs. Bike has been freshly painted so reserve might be significant. But the respray is a nifty white and red with fine looking gold box lining (although the pictures are none too large). Here's a chance to pick up a unique English machine that's different from every other Raleigh, Holdsworth and Jackson you're likely to meet. Probably not too many Fothergills on the next club run!
