I would take the pulleys and soak them in a bowl of degreasing stuff or spray some WD40 or ??, and see if the parts fall off once the grease/glue/gunk is softened. Might led to another DUH moment, but you don't have to tell us about that. While soaking, practice on the cocktails. Who says you can't have two hobbies? Besides, it's also a useful skill.

Disclaimer: DUH.

1) This is a recent acquisition and the first Huret rear mech I've owned so, I am not familiar with the service level of dis-assembly. 2) Pieces are not coming apart easily so, I do not wish to apply inappropriate force - not sure if the impediments are sediment accured over 32 years or lowest level of disassembly. 3) I do not know model; however, it is neither Jubilee nor Duopar. It appears to be the OEM for a 1974 Raleigh Super Course Mk II. Perhaps the model is "Challenger". [NB:One pulley is cog-type and the other is cogless roller-type.] 4) I am not certain how to service the pulleys. Puzzlement is caused by the pulley construction. 5) Each pulley has a metal hub with flats on both sides giving the appearance that wrenches could be used to separate the hub for servicing whatever is inside the hub, whether be bushing or ball bearings. Vis-a-vis: Campag C-Record pulleys. Question 1: Can the hubs be unscrwed from the pulleys for servicing? 6) The cog-type pulley does not fall free of the outer cage plate after the fixing screw is removed. That is, the hub of the pulley appears press-fit or screwed into the outer cage plate. Question 2: Is the hub/pulley a non-serviceable press fit into the cage plate or, can a wrench be used on the flats of the hub to unscrew it from the cage plate? 7) Question 3: Does anyone have an appropriate Huret rear mech for sale in the event mine proves beyond service? Re: 1974 Raleigh Super Course Mk II. 8) Question 4 (Rhetorical): Why rather didn't I take up cocktail mixing as a hobby?
