Subject: [CR]ASC in Action

Did the High Point 200K today and was sitting at the control at 70 miles when somebody rode up on a fixed gear. Nothing super unusual about that except, thanks to the list, I immediately realized he likely had a Sturmey Archer ASC. He confirmed that, said it was a 1949. Was using with 4 speed shifter, I believe. Sorry I didn't catch his name but I have a sneaking suspicion he'll see this post and fill us in on the details of his ride through the hilly Sauratown Mountains area of North Carolina.

Nice to see that kind of gear out and about.
