Evening all as George Dixon would say, about the same vintage as the eBay Paris and a film called "A Boy A Girl and a Bike". Not 100% certain but Ted Willis (playwrite) was involved in both of these I think. The film stars Honor Blackman, Tony Newley, Diana Dors, Thora Hird and Meg Jenkins. Harry Rensch (Paris Cycles) although not credited was a technical advisor and bike supplier to this wonderful film, the bike that is nicked (stolen)in the plot is a Paris Tour de France with concealed top tube rear brake cable. The guy who is selling these on eBay is kosher a real mensch and a very well respected VCC member don't worry about the photoshop bullshit free pictures it will be the business! So much of this stuff for sale on eBay is tarted up by photoshop, thank god these are not. No connection to the seller. Ted Willis was a very interesting character he was involved with the left wing cycling clubs and also a member of the communist party but later went all establishment and took a peerage and finished up in the House of Lords. Check the film out its well worth watching and what cyclists couldn't resist doing a two up with Honor or Diana. They even put in an appearance at the following year's Albert Hall BBAR presentation.
