Duncan,

The frame with bent dropout is definitely worth saving. It's actually not very bad. You can take it upon yourself to straighten it, carefully in a padded vise, but you will still need to align it. I suggest taking it to your nearest framebuilder or bike shop with the proper alignment tools. The minimal charge will be worth it. And, my TdF Frejus also has the same bend in the chainstays. At first I thought my frame was all screwed up, but this is not the case. Seems unusual but that's the way they were made. If you want some comparison photos let me know and I'll send you a couple of my frame.

The number for that Olmo should be stamped on the side of the seat tube close to the junction of the top tube. Can't remember which side though. I would have to go look at my Olmo to tell you for sure. It would appear that the repaint(s) on your frame have filled in the numbers.

ciao,
