An alloy-rail Cinelli buffalo is a very nice saddle, but no way was it around in '71. I could be wrong but I don't think I noticed them until the 80s - probably early 80s. Someone here will know for sure...
I'm thinking of the cast aluminum wishbone- or Y-shaped one-piece rail assembly. Tall oval cross-section, so it took longer-than-normal seatpost bolts. By then the one-bolt Super-Record was out, and this Cinelli came with a longer aluminum bolt to replace the Campy steel bolt. Did Cinelli ever make the kind with just plain round aluminum rod? I know Selle Italia and Selle San Marco did, (and those were available in the 70s) but I don't think I've seen a Cinelli like that.
If I'm right and it's not original to your P10, then that's more reason for you to keep it. Maybe just let the new owner find the appropriate Brooks or Unica-Nitor...
