The old track bikes had narrower hubs. Front 3 5/8" =92 mm and Rear 4 3/4" = 108 mm.
Campy made track hubs both ways I suppose. I know I have seen the rears. I had Hi-E make me a set of track hubs to these dimensions. Harlan wondered what the heck I was up to but I have gotten a lot of use out of those wheels to avoid riding fragile and old wooden rims. Not a good idea at my weight.
Makes me want to go measure my '62 Drysdale with Campy hubs. Hmmm?
