And I got to know Sara seeing her at the Trade Shows every year and the occasional visit to Conrad's when I was in NYC. Maybe it's that Brooklyn thing John? <grin>"

Sig. Chuck, Sara always wanted to put on airs that they were the best and no one else was any good. She knew I was a mechanic at another shop, so I might have been viewed as "the competition". Our shop was "Roy's Sheepshead Cycles" in Brooklyn. We had the same stuff (except for the show bikes), no attitude, and better prices. Roy's got pretty big and was the neck and neck competition to R+A till around 1982 when the owner started to put fine white powder up his nose. Only facts here folks , no fiction. Although Alan of Roy's, managed to stay in business, the shop is nothing now and R+A is the largest Colnago dealer in the U.S. But yes, you are older. And better look'n too. <smile>

John T.Pergolizzi Brooklyn, New York Hung around Dave Perry's shop in Manhattan today with Erin the mechanic and lunched on Katz's Deli knoblewurst with sauerkraut and mustard and a knish. Oh yea and a Schneiderweiss beer. I was on my way home on a "new" Hetchins. Ahhh, dis is DA life.
