I'll second that emotion.

Ken S. Naylor "For the first 70 degree day of the year, the ride home from work this evening on a Masi G.C. was made ever so perfect by a light rain in the last three miles. Ahh, this is what is means to be alive." Fargo, North Dakota

New rule suggestion: ALL posts must be followed by an ultra short personal ride report of the day; no ride, no post.

Herons, mallards,..... come on, you ain't lived till you passed two 18 wheelers right down the middle at 30 mph go'n up 3rd Avenue midtown. Or what about ridding back from Joysey on the G.W. bridge look'n down at the ice flows of The Hudson in January? Got home and Sally pointed out the ice sickles hang'n offa my newspaper boy cap? Or ride'n home from Prospect Park at 10 pm on a sublimely warm summer's nite and catch'n the smell of honeysuckle? Or pick'n up a girl on a bike ride and get'n l__d? O.k., o.k., ya do got that in SoCal. More of it then here I guess. I'll give ya that one. And what about ride'n down to Coney Island and get'n a dog w/kraut and ketchup? Then go'n next door to the candy shop and load'n up on some marshmallow twists and raisinets and then hang'n out at the boardwalk, dream'n of Dreamland. Naa dat's home.

And all because of the bike,

Ain't life GRAND!?!? Out here in SoCal today rode the Ugo Blue De Rosa along the San Gabriel river with temps in the high 70s and lots of snow on the top of Mt. Baldy not too far in the distance (15 miles?). Herons, Mallards, and a Damsel in Distress (Miss Fit Tri- Woman with a flat and no pump), so I did my good deed for the day.
