Perhaps I should start by offering a warning. Bike lockers may not be as secure as we believe. Last Wednesday (5/17) my girlfriends bike was stolen from a locked locker at the Interstate Kaiser in Portland OR while she worked. When she locked her bike in the locker all the lockers had locks on them. When she got off work all the locks were gone, and all the lockers were empty. They even stole her helmut (silver Giro / a visor). So far Kaiser security has been no help. I've been told Wednesday was "Bike to Work Day".
Some on the list have seen the bike before, please keep an eye out. Some are in bike shops, I have a more complete description by e-mail or fax if you'd let me know where to send it
The bike in question was bright turquoise, made by Jim Kish, Columbus EL-OS steel tubing and approximately 14 inches in seat tube length. The wheels were 26" with MAVIC 601 hubs, 221 red anodized rims, and black DT revolution spokes radially laced on the front and off drive rear, black DT competitions laced 3 cross on the drive, black alloy nipples all round. If anyone sees such a beast please contact me ASAP, rewards of cash, vintage parts, paintwork............... are yours for the asking.
Many Thanks for your kind attention, Nikki really misses her bike and I'd like to get it back for her.
