Subject: [CR]Elrick pics added to Scottish lightweights website

I've just put up some pics of a 1940s George Elrick frame on my Scottish framebuilders website. http://www.framebuilders.toucansurf.com/Elrick-Gallery.htm

Elrick was a Yorkshireman who moved to Stirling in Scotland in 1935 and started building bikes. Elrick made some fine frames. In fact, I think I remember Mick Butler saying that his one is amongst the best-riding bikes he has.

There were many other fine Scottish bikes (in addition to the Flying Scot) and I'm hoping to gather together as much information about them as possible. It's going to be a long process, though. Rattrays made thousands of Flying Scots, eclipsing all other Scottish lightweight builders, and there are plenty of them around as well as a lot of information relating to the marque. There are far, far fewer examples of the other marques on the go and I believe only one or two of these builders bothered to produce catalogues. If any list members have Scottish-made lightweights other than the Flying Scot, please get in touch.

My website has been up for a couple of months but I'm only now starting to get some feedback. I'll post details of other developments are they arise.
