Group---
After searching extensively (and in vain) for the Singer shoppe on three successive trips, I finally made the following discoveries. Victor Hugo must have been a very popular person in Paris. There are Avenues Victor Hugo--- Boulevards Victor Hugo---Rues Victor Hugo, etc. Paris has about twenty sections/departments called Arrondissement, arranged in a circle starting in the center of the city. Every time you go into a different sector, the street names can start all over again---- thus, lots of Victor Hugo related streets.
The Singer shop is in the section called Levallois, which is northwest of city center, just outside of the city proper across the Peripherique freeway that surrounds Paris. On a detailed map, it is very close to the train station called Clichy-Levallois, and a little plaza called Plaza du 8 Mai 1945. Also, coincidentely I'm sure-- it is just north of a stadium called Stade Louision Bobet.
Mr. Csuka speaks NO English---- a delightful gentleman, however... and extremely accommodating if you are really looking for something.
Another nice shoppe (through the window with a chrome Carlton displayed) is about mid way down Boulevard Beaumarchais, just north of the Bastille, on the west side.
Cheers and enjoy

PS, Norris Lockley can tell you the location of every bike shop in Paris, but probably won't....
