...point taken, but isn't there value for the pure mental exercise of invention? you are doing it by dealing with the minutia of details, within' a very defined context. Others are doing it with materials, surfaces, shapes, distribution, manufacturing techniques- as it also has

been done for the ages. from my observers perspective it is all fascinating, from what you are doing so conscientiously with a nod to the past, to the new off topic sram road deraillieur system that (d)evolved from the NR campys I just ordered.
