Never mind the period-incorrect discussion, let me say that I really do not sympathise, for whatever that is worth, with whoever auctions out his own trophies and gear. A few years ago I was shown Cipollini's bikes, put up for auction sale by SAECO, for rediculously high amounts of money. Not quite in the same spirit I could point to other glorious bikes which are on sale around here with a tag price set up by the seller (this time, Michele Bartoli). This, I believe, is a more respectable way of collecting cash.
