Dear Listmembers,
I've had a few responces regarding the possible trip to Santa Barbara vi a the Amtrack train. One of the cool things about the train is you can b ring your own food and drink aboard the train for the ride up. We could have a nice lunch or whatever on the way up. I think we may even be able to bring a bike along. If so, I will probably bring a fixed gear/single speed commuter bike so I have ground transportation. I'll check into it .
I haven't had time to contact the respondants yet, but I'll firm up the plans soon and we'll see what kind of group can make it. The date is May 14 (Mothers Day) which could be an issue with some people. I'm clear (I 'll have to visit Mom another time) so I know I'm on board. Possibility JB may be able to make it with us. THAT would set the tone for this trip perfectly; cross your fingers!
