Well, that's certainly one point of view, but one could also take the point of view that the originals were beautiful and rode nicely, and so it is desirable to make that beauty and feel available again. As long as one isn't trying to pass the reproduction off as an original, I don't see a problem with it. As a matter of fact, lots of people buy prints of famous original paintings and decorate their homes very attractively without spending a fortune. And I wouldn't at all mind having a replica of a Bugatti Type 57. The new Ford Mustang and the VW New Beatle and the new Cooper Mini are all essentially reproductions of decades-old cars. Some people may distain them, but many others are buying them. I don't really see that a buying a replica Gios or Masi 3V is all that different from buying a KOF frame.
