Subject: [CR]FS: 1956 Dick Power track and 1962 Legnano Gran Premio

Idid this last year (in part as penance for fishing for a price) but this year I will do it correctly. I have two bikes for sale as follows: 1. Appx 1956-7 Dick Power track frame. Size is 57cm c to t, and 56cm c to c top tube. It is black with box striping and in fair condition. Paint is a bit rough and the decals are flaking but there. The right rear track drop out has had a derailleur hanger braised on so the bike could be used as either a track or road bike. The original owner did not have the money for two bikes at the time and was losing races for lack of a derailleur. The added hanger was done by "Corky" Gulbransen of "Corky" bike fame (I spoke with him about it and he remebers doing it). The hanger could easily be sweated off if so desired. The frame comes with Stronglight BB and headset (I thing Stronglight). In this period Dick was using Stronglight equipment having not yet switched to Campy. I am asking $400 + shipping at cost or I will deliver the frame to the Cirque. I will donate 10% of the selling price to the JP's Charity Auction regardless of whether the buyer is attending the cirque or not.

2. 1962/3 Legnano Gran Premio frame with parts. Size is 55cm c to t , and 55cm c to c top tube. The frame is the traditional Legnano lyme green color but has faded and rubbed off in spots. There are some rust spotting on the top tube. The chrome head lugs, fork crown, and fork and stay ends are in excellent shape with only a few signs of pitting. Decals are all present and in good shape. Frame comes with original Ambrosio stem, Legnano stamped Ambrosio bars, Magistroni steel cottered cranks with Legnano stamped arms, Universal 61 centerpulls (needing new hoods), Reg bottle cage with original green Legnano bottle, Sheffield pedals stamped Legnano on the barrels, and is equipped with campy drop outs. I do not know what the tubing is but suspect it is Falk (sp?). It has the serial #EU9494. It also has the traditonal under toptube seatpost binder bolt (without the split one would find on the high end Roma). Also it has the original straight seat post, a replacement Avocet Saddle, and pump brackets (the bottom one has integrated cable guides) I am asking $300 + shipping at cost. Same conditions that I mentioned for the Dick Power apply here.....delivery at Cirque, donation to Auction.....
the bike has no derailleurs or shift leavers. It came with replacement Vista branded Suntour's that I will include if the buyer so desires.
Wheels are not included but.....the bike came with the original wheels which are Campy Record - no Record, large flange hubs and Ambrosio alloy clinchers (decals only visible on one of the rims). These were original to the bike but I would like to keep them. I would let them go with the bike for an extra $200.
