A high school friend spotted a bike at the J.C. Penney store in Eugene, Oregon in 1971 or '72. He asked the bike deities at the LBS (Collin's Cycle, purveyors of Peugeots, Raleighs, a few Stellas, Motobecanes and Colnagos at the time) what they knew about it, and they told him to definitely go for it.
It was an Olmo, and I believe mostly Campagnolo-equipped except for the brakes, at a price about $200 at the time as I recall -- just a bit more than the PX-10s.
It would be interesting to know what became of that bike. I think it was the only one from that store.
