Of the many rare Hetchins I'm selling over the next and coming weeks is a very special frame, a Magnum Bonum that was raced in the 1952 Tour of Brittain, and is truly one of the rarest Hetchins to come up for sale. Below is the text of my auction page. The frame will come up for auction on Ebay tonight at 6:00PM PST.

Up for auction, an extremely rare 1952 Hetchins Magnum Bonum, serial number: HET3 and as listed on the Hetchins Register held by Len Ingram of the VCC. Only the frame and fork are for sale. This frame was one of five frames especially built and given to the Romford Club Team in the UK to be raced in the 1952 Tour of Brittain, and of the five original frames only frame number two, serial number HET2 and the one listed are known to survive. HET2 surfaced at a local jumble in the U.K. a week after HET3 was purchased by me. These are the only frames listed on the Hetchins Records with this type of serial number. I purchased this frame from a broker about five years ago, and he said the prior owner had informed him that this frameset was repainted by Hetchins in the early 1970s. Frame size is 22&12" CT at the seat tube with a 22&1/2" top tube. Seat pin size is 27.2mm with 120mm rear spacing. The frame has a lovely double plate fork crown, with Vibrant or curly rear stays, and
Simplex dropouts.
There are many Hetchins to come up for auction each year, but this is your chance to purchase one of the rarest surviving Hetchins. I've got a collection of 16 Hetchins with some of the rarest survivors known, and will be gradually selling most of this collection as time allows
