Subject: [CR]On Torelli Rims...

My hunt for 36 hole Mavic MA2's has been fruitless, so I have broadened my search for a classic box profiled silver clincher rim set. A friend recommended that I look into Torelli rims, as their "master" seemed to fit my criteria. I had never heard of Torelli before and know nothing of their reputation, but liked what I saw on their website. The rims were within my budget too. So I call and speak with a friendly gentleman on the phone who tells me that the "master" has been discontinued for eons...and he can't recall any retailers that had ordered a lot of them and might have a dusty pair laying around. "These were all snatched up a while ago by all those vintage nuts", he told me. (Meaning, uh, you guys!) So this leads me to the next three questions: -Does anybody have any experience with these rims? -Does anybody have a set they would like to part with? -Does anybody know of a source/shop that might still have these available?
