I wonder if these may be what I've seen listed in Ron Kitching as the "Olympic" model. That model is described as having a longer reach (at 121 mm.) than most - eg: Ventoux, listed as 102mm reach - which would seem in line with these photos. The Olympic's drop would be 138 mm versus 154mm for the Ventoux, again, a reasonable estimate according to the photos.

So, perhaps the slant of these bars is just unique to this model... which I have never seen before. They definitely remind me quite a lot of the Cinelli #65 Criterium bars - which also has both the very rounded forward curve at the top, and also a slight drop from the center bulge.

--I owned a Raleigh Pro that had these same bars with the same slightly forward and downward bend, so I suspect that is the way the bar was designed.
