Hello all,
My current project, and my first, a Motobecane Grand Touring bike has a Vitus 888 decal that I have not been able to locate. It is so deteriorated that I thought it said 808 until I found a closeup of another one in excellent condition. So here's the issue; The three 8's on my decal are each a different color, blue, white, and red. However, the only good copy I have been able to find, and listed here in Classic Rendezuous, French Vitus section, has only white 8's a blue background and different text. It also describes the tubes as being plain gauge below the decal and I'm certain my down tube is double butted. I have attached photos of the excellent copy of my tricolor decal along with the rather plain white, blue and black decal "LIGHT TUBES" 888 decal listed in Classic Rendezuous and would like to know if anyone can explain the reason for the different decals, or what they represent. Here comes the BIG ONE, does anyone have a copy, or full picture of my tricolor Vitus 888 decal suitable to send to a printer that you could send me?
I'm all ears,
