As my tastes have changed and my collection evolved, I've realized that few of my bikes will ever be contest-worthy. I like rough-condition bikes as much as shiny restorations -perhaps more so in some cases. I spell "Patina" with a capital "P".
I remember from my model-building days how judging a show is never easy, and since I'm no longer concerned with winning a prize, in the future I will try to remember to attach this message to my bikes:
