Lou and all,
I was just poking fun at the post about the judging and the possibility of feelings being hurt for what ever reason. I know these two guys and better folks you will not find anywhere. I'm sure on the ride home there was reflections of the great time both had while in Greensboro. As I did state in my post and I hope everyone got to that point in the post:
Fortunately our two heroes are the best of pals and small trivial things such as awards at shows dont bother them at all and certainly hasnt gotten in the way of the friendship. When one looks at the time and labor of love that these two craftsmen put into their work you would think that an award would mean more to them than folks like us who just shell out some bucks and some time polishing parts to make them look pretty for the show.
Last year one of Richie's personal frames came up for sale at a very reasonable price. Boy did I want that frame, but the funds weren't there. I have owned a stunning Weigle, but the fit wasn't right. You can bet I have been on the lookout for frames from both of these builders more that any other builders in my size at a price I can afford. You can also bet when that time comes I will bring both the bikes to the Cirque and show them with gleaming pride.
If my humor offends anyone maybe it would be easier to delete my posts rather than me trying to change at this late stage in the game. I will try and refrain for these types of posts in the future.
