One of my bikes has a screw where the grease nipple aught to be on the bottom bracket.
The thread is smaller than the ones on modern Tecalemit hydraulic fittings and older oil ports:
modern pressure fitting: 6.2 mm dia too big drip fitting 1: 6.1 mm dia - too big drip fitting 2: 4.7 mm dia - won't thread
The thread on the BB is covered by paint.
Does anybody know what the fitting options were on early 50's British bikes? What type of threads did the fitting have?
