Subject: [CR]Wrapping cloth tape

Ok, last night I was wrapping some new bars with some new cloth bar tape. But I kept wrinkling the tape while wrapping. It's like the trailing edge didn't want to stretch as much as I needed and the leading edge stretched too much, so as I wrapped, it wouldn't wrap smooth. I always start at the bottom of the bar end, wrap once around the bar end and then start to progress up. Wrapping is towards the outside.

Admittedly, I'm a modern guy and have much more experience wrapping vinyl or cork tape than cloth. Am I doing something wrong or am I missing something? Stretching didn't seem to help.
