Subject: [CR]Bayliss-Wiley Hub question

I'm trying to fit a Bayliss-Wiley single-sided freewheel hub on my Hobbs. The rear dropouts spacing on the frame is 114 mm, but the outer locknut spacing on the hub (after adding a spacer on the freewheel side) is 118 mm..

I tried spreading the stays, but the best I could do was get them to 115 mm.

B-W hubs have unique cones that are quite wide. That's fine on the freewheel side, but a "problem" on the other side. 3 or 4 mm could easily be trimmed on the left cone without affecting its functionality.

Anybody ever done this, or found a work-around? Anybody have a spare B-W rear cone?
