Who've you been listening to? 531 and modern air hardening steels
are designed for use with brass/bronze. You aren't going to hurt
them using silver.

I've often wondered if silver bearing solders, with a liquidus of
415F, and a tensile strength of 15 kpsi wouldn't be sufficient if
used with lugs with a large contact area, such as Pacenti's Artisan lugs.

However since I've no problem using silver based brazing fillers yet have never mastered low temp soldering, I'm not going to try it.
