Ben Hur was in business in Indianapolis from 1891-98. The wheels and saddle on the e-bay bike are later additions.Front high flange hub is out of place, tires too skinny. The rest looks period. As to being light weight its "all relative" for bikes of this period. Some were gaspipe tubing others thin-wall and quite light. Some of the machining of parts such as headsets, cranks, and bottom bracket assemblies was quite elegant and done with pride. The bike on offer is a nice example for the period and an easy retrofit. Art Link,San Antonio,TX

This seems an interesting bicycle, but I can't tell if it would be counted as a vintage lightweight or not. It looks like it might be. Thoughts? 180005121033
