Subject: [CR]'73 Raleigh Super Course TT

I've just had a customer bring in a carmine red Raleigh Super Course TT that he said he bought new in late '73. It has a Sugino Mighty Competition crankset, SunTour VGT rear derailleur, a SunTour front derailleur and Suntour friction shifters. Were these original equipment, or is it possible they are mods made by the selling dealer, Turin of Denver. Also, the frame is a Carlton, and I'm concerned about threading. Which is more likely, standard 1.37 in. x 24 tpi bottom bracket, or Raleigh 1.37 in. x 26 tpi? I'm worried that it has 24 tpi cups forced or rethreaded into 26 tpi frame.

Thanks,
