Hey Scott,
I had a Boone McReynolds touring frame at one time with narrow spacing which
I ultimately had Simon Fitch at Bilenky bikes re-space for me because they
had little stopping power. The only brakes that seemed to work were Shimano
600 cantilevers but they had smaller arms and were not effective for loaded
touring or more importantly when I was towing the Burley trailer with my
young daughter inside it.
I may still even have the brakes downstairs and they are from 83 so they are
on topic. What about a set of Pauls Touring Cantis?
